As a Assembly Fitter you will read engineering drawings, use various tools to fabricate and assemble parts, ensure components match specifications, document your work, and maintain a safe work environment. You will also achieve manufacturing goals and work effectively with minimal supervision.
How You Will Do It:
Read engineering drawings and identify requirements for metal fabricated parts and assemblies.
Following manufacturing planning and execute task without difficulty.
Must be capable of using hand/power tools, heavy duty equipment, and measuring tools to fabricated desired products.
Must be able to correlate physical components with those on engineering drawing and assemble completed parts using kitted material.
Fabricates components to complete full assemblies while abiding to customers specifications.
Document actions by completing records and complying with regulations.
Maintain safe work environment by following procedures.
Accomplish manufacturing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Must be able to work and produce parts effectively with minimal supervision
What We Look For:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Six months related experience
Technical school training a plus
2+ years in manufacturing/aerospace a plus
Ability to work flexible hours to support overtime requirements
Able to lift 10 pounds consistently without assistance, 50 pounds occasionally with assistance
Knowledge of general workshop tools and equipment pertaining to sheet metal and the aerospace industries
Must be able to understand and interpret technical drawings to military and aerospace specifications
