Assembler Technician

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembler Technician to join their team. As an Assembler Technician, you will be part of the production department supporting the assembly and testing of high-precision components. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong manual dexterity, effective communication skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Assembler Technician

Location: Chambersburg, PA

Pay Range: $20 to $22 an hour

Shift: 1st shift

What's the Job?

  • Assemble and test components and sub-assemblies according to relevant processes and standards.
  • Operate and control specialized test equipment, including pressurized systems.
  • Perform fibre cleaving, splicing, and loss measurements to ensure quality.
  • Conduct pressure testing of sub-assemblies and inspect components for defects.
  • Engage in connector polishing, laser welding, ultrasonic cleaning, and calibrate equipment as needed.

What's Needed?

  • Proficiency in using common software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of a cross-disciplinary environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills and utilize initiative to solve problems.
  • Relevant hands-on experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • High levels of manual dexterity and attention to detail for assembling complex and fragile components.
