Job Title: Electronics Assembly Technician

Job Description

This role focuses on assembling electronic components for control panel boards in a manufacturing environment. You will work with small tools, electronic parts, wiring, and soldering techniques while following detailed instruction drawings and written diagrams to build high-quality panel boards.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic components for panel boards used in control panels according to production requirements.
  • Work with small tools and small electronic parts to accurately build and complete panel board assemblies.
  • Handle and route various electronic parts and wires, ensuring correct placement and secure connections.
  • Use a range of soldering techniques to attach components and wiring safely and reliably.
  • Read, interpret, and work from instruction drawings and written diagrams on a daily basis.
  • Follow assembly instructions and production guidelines to meet quality and efficiency standards.
  • Operate basic production or machine equipment as needed, depending on departmental requirements.
  • Perform basic quality inspection of assembled components to verify proper assembly and functionality.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during the assembly process.
  • Maintain an organized work area and follow all safety procedures on the production floor.

Essential Skills

  • Previous manufacturing experience in a production environment.
  • Hands-on experience with assembly work, preferably in electronics or similar fields.
  • Ability to read and work from written diagrams, drawings, and assembly instructions.
  • Experience using small hand tools for assembly tasks.
  • Familiarity with soldering techniques for electronic components and wiring.
  • Basic understanding of electronics components and wiring practices.
  • Ability to perform quality inspection on assembled parts.
  • Comfort working with power tools and production equipment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in production assembly or electronics assembly.
  • Experience with machine operation in a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge in quality inspection within a production environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a structured, process-driven environment.
  • Willingness to learn different departmental processes depending on production needs.

Work Environment

The role is based on a medium-sized production floor that is divided into several departments. Workstations are fairly close together, and you will work alongside several other employees performing similar tasks. The environment is structured and production-focused, with defined stations for assembly work, use of hand tools, power tools, and soldering equipment. You can expect a collaborative setting where communication with nearby team members is frequent and space between stations is limited, requiring good organization and awareness of your surroundings.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
