Assembler

An aerospace client is looking for an Assembler to perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.

Location: Huntsville, AL 35756 (Onsite)

Position: Assembler

Pay Rate: $21/hr. on W2 (DOE)

Duration: 3 months or longer

Schedule: 4x10 (M-Th)

• RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
• Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
• May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

Basic Qualifications:

• US Citizenship is required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Able to read work instructions

• Able to use basic power hand tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Able to read drawings / wiring diagrams
• Previous government contract experience
• Assembler 1 Experience with ESD (electrostatic discharge) and FOD (foreign object damage) control.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
