Arts Administration Intern, Vilar

The Vilar Performing Arts Center is looking to hire a highly organized, detail-oriented Arts Administration Intern to support the work of the Vilar for the Summer 2026 season. The Arts Administration Intern will serve as a central hub of support, working directly with the Vilar Executive Director while providing cross-departmental assistance to the Vilar Programming, Operations, Marketing and Community Engagement staff. This role is designed for a college student interested in arts management, nonprofit operations, producing/presenting, development, or venue administration. Reporting directly to the Vilar Arts Education & Community Engagement Manager, the Arts Administration Intern will contribute to a variety of day- to- day administrative work while also completing one or more summer- long capstone projects that produce tangible deliverables for the organization.


A successful candidate should possess:

  • Active enrollment in a college program as a junior/senior in arts administration, business, nonprofit management, communications, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with the performing arts and/or performing arts venues highly desirable, but not required.
  • Capacity to work independently as part of a strong team.
  • Self-initiative, attention to detail and a customer-centric philosophy.
  • Strong initiative and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills, ability to work on multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with flexibility, the capacity to generate innovative solutions and strategies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with or capacity to learn Microsoft Office Suite, and other technological software on an as needed basis.
  • Advanced English skills, both written and oral.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

This is a paid internship position, based in Beaver Creek, Colorado. This position begins June 15, 2026 and concludes August 21, 2026. Dates are flexible based on candidate’s academic schedule. This position will work approximately 40 hours per week, and schedule may include evenings/weekends to align with performance and event needs.

Hourly Rate is $20.00 based on experience.
