Experienced Architectural Designer for
Community Interest Design Firm
GRN Vision is in a progressive growth stage and ready to bring on a confident and experienced architect for our public-interest architectural firm. Our typical community-based projects include emergency homeless shelters, homeless navigation centers, transitional modular housing, affordable housing and residential group homes.
This position requires a great deal of responsibility and opportunities for learning and growth in a dynamic, flexible environment - you will be designing, managing and producing construction drawings for our community-based projects in six states. We are looking for an organized, passionate, and community-oriented team member to grow with us.
SKILL SETS REQUIRED
- Detail-orientation and high degree of organization - able to put together well-coordinated and complete construction drawings; keep track of multiple project schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
- Excellent communication skills - the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and the construction team.
- Solutions-oriented problem solver who can adjust and adapt; someone interested in improving our operations and open to trying new things
- Taking ownership - self-motivated and able to work independently while being a team player and willing to do whatever is needed.
COMPENSATION AND PERKS:
- Base Pay commensurate with experience and history of achievement - typically between $65K and $75K annual salary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role has the potential to be almost anything you want to make it. Be the driving force working with a passion for community-based design in support of affordable housing, community development, and finding solutions to the homelessness crisis and seeing your projects built and operational within a matter of months.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:
- Do design and technical drawing work (80% of the role)
- Manage projects schedules, ensuring timely completion and clear communication with clients and GRN Vision team members
- Developing conceptual design and new client presentations
- Estimate scope and and production time for new projects and assist with the development of detailed fee proposals
- Attending AIA Las Vegas and other design & construction industry networking events
- Candidates with less than 2 years of professional office experience will be required to complete a timed CAD competency test
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-5+ years of Architectural experience in commercial or multi-family residential projects
- 4- or 5-year architectural bachelors degree or masters degree
- Goal oriented for currently on a licensure track preferred/ not mandatory
- LEED Accredited Professional or LEED Green Associate designation preferred but not mandatory
- 1-5 years of experience in building space programming and conceptual design through construction administration
- Experience in leadership roles and personal development training are a plus as we encourage those experiences among our team
- Volunteer experience / involvement with AIA community organization is a plus based on our mission-focused business model
REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates must reside in Southern Nevada or be willing to relocate within 2 months
- Experience with 2D Autocad 2024, Microsoft Office, Sketchup are mandatory. Experience with Revit is a bonus
