The Archery Instructor will operate under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator. This position is responsible for instructing basic and advanced archery skills to youth ages 9-18 and may have the opportunity to instruct adult participants in the future, based on interest and program needs.
The primary position responsibilities and areas of impacts are:
Develop lesson curriculum; plan and instruct archery lessons
Establish clear objectives for all lessons
Ensure all safety precautions are followed
Perform opening and closing duties
Set-up and take down archery equipment and range
Size participants for appropriate equipment
Evaluate archery equipment and keep supervisor informed of equipment needs
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment and address participant behavior concerns as they arise
Monitor program success and participant performance, and provide program feedback to the Recreation Coordinator
Work Experience:
One (1) year of previous instructing or teaching experience
Two (2) years of archery experience
Knowledge of archery skill progression, safety practices, and equipment
Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Basic Archery Instructor or ability to receive certification prior to facilitating programs
High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
CPR and First Aid certification

Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods of time, and demonstrate archery skills. **Apply immediately, interviews are being conducted as applications are received**
