Under the direction of the Assistant Parks, Recreation and Aquatics Director, or designee, this position is responsible for performing a variety of customer service functions related to the daily operations of the reception desk at the Fife Aquatic Center.
This position reports directly to the Aquatics Coordinator II.
Anticipated schedule is Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Greet patrons and provide basic assistance at the reception desk in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls and provide general information or direct calls to appropriate staff.
- Assist patrons with program registrations and facility reservations using the REC1 system.
- Accept payments for programs and retail items following established procedures.
- Provide general information about aquatic programs, classes and facility amenities.
- Help keep the reception desk and lobby area clean, organized and welcoming.
- Assist with restocking retail or concession items as needed.
- Perform other basic support tasks as assigned.
Other Duties:
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Assist with cleaning, stocking and sanitizing the lobby area and restrooms as needed.

- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Operate a variety of software and office equipment necessary to perform job functions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to: a High School Diploma or GED and one year experience working in a similar job environment.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must obtain valid First Aid and CPR certification within six months of employment.
