Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Apptio Platform Engineer to help design, build, and support an enterprise‑wide Demand Management intake and governance solution using the Apptio platform. This role is ideal for a hands‑on technologist with strong data, workflow, and integration experience who enjoys building scalable, audit‑ready solutions that support technology governance and operational decision‑making.

In this role, you will work closely with business and technology partners to implement end‑to‑end demand intake workflows, develop Apptio data models and reporting, and enable reliable integrations with upstream and downstream systems. You will play a key role in ensuring data quality, transparency, and scalability across the demand management lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build end‑to‑end demand intake and routing workflows in Apptio, including request capture, validations, approvals, exception handling, and lifecycle tracking
  • Develop and maintain Apptio data tables, transformations, models, metrics, and dashboards to support enterprise demand and governance reporting
  • Implement data quality controls, validation rules, and reconciliation checks to improve consistency and trust in reporting outputs
  • Create modeled KPIs and reporting views that provide insight into demand volume, cycle time, aging, status, and exceptions
  • Design and support integrations using Apptio APIs and Datalink connectors to enable automated, repeatable data exchange
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data loads, workflow execution, and performance issues
  • Follow disciplined development, testing, and release practices while supporting Agile delivery initiatives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across technology, finance, and governance teams to deliver scalable solutions
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise platform development, workflow automation, or system configuration
  • Hands‑on experience with data modeling, data transformations, and enterprise reporting
  • Experience delivering workflow‑based solutions with integrations and controlled SDLC practices
  • Familiarity with APIs, ETL processes, and scheduled data integrations
  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Apptio (TBM Studio, ApptioOne, or related modules)
  • Familiarity with Demand Management, PPM, or ITSM intake models
  • Experience integrating with ServiceNow, financial systems, or data warehouses
  • Understanding of TBM, FinOps, cost transparency, or unit‑cost modeling concepts
  • Strong data quality, reconciliation, and control documentation skills
