Application Specialist – Mobile Workforce Management (MWM) / Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Application Specialist to support and maintain critical Mobile Workforce Management (MWM) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) applications used by field crews and dispatch teams.
This role acts as a bridge between field operations, business users, and IT teams, ensuring applications remain operational and data flows correctly across integrated systems. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, L2 application support experience, and exposure to workforce management tools within utility or telecommunications environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Application Monitoring & Support
Provide L2 application support for MWM/EAM systems.
Monitor application performance and system health to ensure uninterrupted service for field technicians and dispatch teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues reported by users.
Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution
Investigate and resolve application failures, synchronization issues, and work order processing errors.
Analyze logs, system alerts, and data inconsistencies to identify root causes.
Database & Data Management
Write and execute SQL queries (Oracle or MS SQL Server) to troubleshoot data issues.
Validate, update, and report on application data as required.
System Configuration & Change Management
Assist with software installations, configurations, and updates.
Follow ITIL-based change management processes for system modifications.
Manage application access and security configurations.
Integration & Development Support
Support integrations between MWM/EAM and other enterprise systems such as metering, billing, and asset systems.
Work with development teams to understand deployment processes and support application updates.
User Support & Documentation
Provide technical assistance to field staff and business users.
Support application installations on Windows devices and iOS mobile platforms.
Create and maintain documentation, troubleshooting guides, and operational runbooks.
Service Management
Manage incidents and service requests through ServiceNow.
Track and resolve tickets within defined SLAs.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience working with utility or telecommunications organizations.
Hands-on experience supporting Mobile Workforce Management (MWM) or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems.
Strong experience with SQL (Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server).
Experience providing L2 application support and troubleshooting enterprise applications.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow for incident and request management.
Experience with application installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Understanding of software development lifecycle and deployment processes.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to both technical teams and field operations staff.
Willingness to travel as required and be onsite Monday and Wednesday (mandatory).

IFS Mobile Workforce Management
HxGN EAM
Kloudgin
Knowledge of AMI/Metering systems such as:
Sensus
Itron
Experience with APIs, integrations, or scripting (Python / PowerShell).
Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management frameworks.
AWS Cloud certification is a plus.
