Shining 3D is seeking a skilled and motivated 3D Digitizing Application Engineer (AE) to support our metrology customers across both Pre-Sales and Post-Sales functions. This role plays a critical part in helping practices and labs adopt and succeed with our scanning, printing, and CAD/CAM workflows.

You will work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Training teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences, provide technical expertise, and ensure smooth implementation and long-term success with Shining 3D solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with customer empathy, clear communication, and a passion for metrology.

This role is fast-paced, highly collaborative, and well-suited for someone who enjoys problem-solving, teaching, and supporting customers across a wide range of technical touchpoints.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Perform installation, training, demo and support for customers, both in-house and on-site. Support sales team through sales process, providing product recommendations for customer applications that enhance their business efficiency.
2. Stay updated with competitor information and market trend.
3. Cooperate with sales team to identify potential leads and opportunities.
4. Serve as SHINING 3D primary point of technical contact for handling troubleshooting, maintenance, and service.
5. Represent SHINING 3D at webinars, virtual events and in-person trade shows when applicable.
6. Travel required to support above listed responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Prefer a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience in the areas of metrology, engineering, manufacturing or quality control.
2. A minimum of 2 years of technical related experience (Having experience of 3D scanner, CMM, CAD/CAM or metrology software is a plus).
3. Ability to interpret engineering drawings for dimensional control requirements. GD&T experience is a plus.
4. Professional demeanor and confidence in presenting to a group of people.
5. Self-motivated and able to work both independently and alongside SHINING 3D management and sales team.
6. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
7. Willing to travel (up to 40%).
