With a growing portfolio of property parcels and development of new technology to support our existing work, King County’s Department of Assessments is looking for current King County employees to support our Property Tax Administration System (PTAS) development and support of existing legacy system applications. This will include the ability to engage directly with subject matter experts, project vendors, and serve as a liaison between accounting staff and other project stakeholders to support our IT systems' development. The Ideal Candidate: The most competitive candidate will have the ability to rapidly learn the Assess to Collect business processes and use rigorous logic and analytical methods to develop effective user application solutions. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to transfer functional, specific knowledge into specific application solutions that meet business needs.
The candidate will demonstrate commitment, dedication, and drive towards meeting and exceeding the expectations and requirements of both internal and external customers. Understands the importance of customer/end-user input throughout the project/solution development life cycle, and can establish and maintain effective and productive professional relationships with customers.
The candidate must have the ability to develop training materials and documentation by writing clearly and succinctly. Must demonstrate competency in application solution documentation, ensuring effective translation of technical accounting and treasury information into application solution topics easily understood by end-users. Has the ability to transfer technical agency knowledge through learning our systems and can prepare written documentation to support staff learning.
