We are seeking an experienced Application Architect to lead the assessment, modernization, and cloud migration of a custom homegrown enterprise application environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in application architecture, cloud transformation, AWS technologies, Java-based applications, Oracle databases, and modernization strategies.
This role will evaluate existing legacy and custom-built applications, develop a comprehensive modernization roadmap, and architect scalable cloud solutions that support business objectives while minimizing operational risk. The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams, infrastructure teams, and executive leadership to deliver strategic technology recommendations and implementation plans.
This is a hybrid position requiring one day per week onsite in Atlanta, Georgia, with periodic travel to other locations throughout Georgia, including DeKalb County and Forsyth County. This is a one-year contract with the option to renew

- s.Develop application modernization strategies, migration roadmaps, and target-state architecture

- s.Design and implement cloud-native and hybrid-cloud architectures using AWS services and best practice
- s.Recommend modernization approaches, including rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, and rearchitecting application
- s.Define architecture standards, governance models, and technical guidelines for cloud adoptio
- n.Design integration solutions between on-premises and cloud-based system
- s.Collaborate with development teams to modernize Java-based applications and service
- s.Architect solutions involving Oracle databases, data migration, and data modernization initiative
- s.Evaluate security, scalability, performance, resiliency, and disaster recovery requirement
- s.Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, migration plans, and executive presentation
- s.Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development and engineering team
