Job Summary:
This Apparel Design Contractor role supports a global apparel design team within a well-known footwear, apparel, and accessories brand. The position focuses on hands-on design execution across select apparel categories, contributing throughout the design lifecycle from early concept through preproduction. Working under the direction of Design Managers and the Design Director, the contractor will help bring seasonal concepts to life while ensuring alignment with brand standards and development calendars.
Key responsibilities include trend and market research, fabric and trim development, styling support, creation of technical sketches, and building detailed tech packs. The role partners closely with Design, Merchandising, and Product Development teams to manage timelines, organize assets, and support smooth product execution across Women’s, Men’s, Kids’, and Accessories lines.
The ideal candidate has strong apparel design fundamentals, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to take direction, iterate quickly, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment. A passion for design craft, culturally relevant product, and contributing to a cohesive global design vision is essential.
The salary range for this position is $38/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
