Position Summary
The APC (Physician Assistant PA-C or Advanced Practice Nurse APN-BC RNFA) will primarily provide outpatient clinical care within The Valley Hospital
Breast Program, managing patients with benign and malignant breast conditions. The PA will work collaboratively with a breast surgeon and multidisciplinary team, while also supporting surgical and inpatient care as needed.
Serves on call and weekend as required.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program as determined by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation or a current Registered Professional Nurse and Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program/Masters in Nursing.
Or
Current Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or for Advanced Practice Nurses a current Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and Registered Nurse First Assist (RFNA)certification if assisting in OR.
Hold a valid, current New Jersey license.
Obtain a New Jersey CDS and federal DEA certificate upon employment if not already covered.
Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and creative problem solving.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience in breast surgery and breast care.
Participation in pertinent professional and/or specialty organizations preferred.
BLS & ACLS certification
Salary
Minimum new grad base salary $144,500 K. Salary commensurate with years of experience as an NP/PA.
Ability to earn up to 5% quality incentive.
