Analyst I – LC-MS / Peptide Analysis

NxtGen is a growing cGMP analytical testing laboratory specializing in peptide and protein characterization. We are seeking an Analyst I to support routine analytical testing with a focus on LC-MS and peptide analysis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level scientist to gain hands-on experience in a regulated laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine LC-MS analysis (Agilent systems preferred) for peptide identification and characterization
• Conduct HPLC/UPLC testing for purity and related substances
• Prepare samples, solvents, and calibration standards
• Process data and generate accurate analytical reports
• Assist with endotoxin (LAL) and sterility testing as needed
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in compliance with GDP and ALCOA+
• Follow SOPs, cGMP/GLP guidelines, and safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready laboratory environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
• 0–2 years of laboratory experience (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)
• Basic hands-on experience with LC-MS (Agilent preferred)
• Familiarity with peptide analysis is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

Working Conditions

• Environment: Laboratory setting with exposure to chemicals, biological materials, and laboratory equipment.
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
• Location: North Charleston, SC.
• PPE: Required use of personal protective equipment (lab coat, gloves, safety glasses).
