Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to workat least three days in the office, includingTuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to workup to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.

This analyst role is responsible for reporting operations, regulatory support, and portfolio forecasting of Eversource’s energy efficiency programs in Massachusetts. This reporting and forecasting provide insights for senior management, program managers, and external stakeholders on the operational objectives of the energy efficiency programs, which contribute to the success of the Commonwealth’s clean energy and climate goals. The position will report to the Manager of Energy Efficiency Regulatory & Planning.

Essential Functions:

Reporting Operations & Regulatory Support (40%)

  • Operate reporting models to prepare quantitative results for filings in regulatory dockets, quarterly reports to public stakeholders, and internal management review.
  • Perform quality control checks, reconcile data anomalies, and maintain process documentation, so results are traceable and reproducible.
  • Maintain and update modeling assumptions, ensuring they remain consistent with the context and requirements of regulatory reports and audiences.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline reporting operations and processes.

Portfolio Forecasting & Program Support (40%)

  • Support the development of portfolio forecasting methods to inform program planning, scenario analysis, and portfolio risk management.
  • Perform variance analysis to identify portfolio-level risks and opportunities, and drill down to isolate the key drivers through both analysis and engagement with program managers.
  • Distill program results into clear narratives and visuals for management and stakeholders; recommend corrective actions to mitigate budget issues and improve program efficiency.

Data Analysis & Research (20%)

  • Maintain core datasets for historical analysis of program budgets and impacts.
  • Inform energy efficiency plans through analysis of past participation and emerging offerings.

Qualifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and experience synthesizing complex analysis into clear findings.
  • Advanced experience with Excel (e.g. PowerQuery, complicated formulas, data models).
  • Experience extracting, cleaning, and validating data from CRMs or tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Proficiency in data management, including data gathering, version/quality control, and process automation.
  • Strong attention to detail, deadline management, and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, including clearly communicating technical results to non-technical audiences through narratives, visuals, and presentations.

Education:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, finance, engineering, data science, or a related discipline.

Experience:

  • Three (3) plus years of experience in regulatory reporting, performance management, risk management, or related functions in support of a dynamic program/project portfolio.

$91,680.00-$101,870.00
