SUMMARY: The Alternative Investments Advisor Relations Associate serves as a key liaison between clients, advisors, financial custodians, and internal departments, ensuring that requests are handled accurately, efficiently, and with care. The Alternative Investments Advisor Relations Associate will become a product specialist, interacting with all levels of the organization, to complete advisor requests and to execute on various large initiatives in an organized, concise fashion. The successful candidate must be resourceful, proactive, detail-oriented and have a strong ability to multitask and be a collaborative team player.
This role operates inside of our W2 Advisor Service Team. It is a central role in supporting SEIA’s multiple W2 Advisory Teams by managing account operations, coordinating client service activities and collaborates closely with peers to uphold SEIA’s service philosophy of effort with sincerity. Training will be expected full-time in-office. Position will be eligible for hybrid structure (office 4 / remote 1) after training has been completed and approved by manager. Training is expected to be completed by the third month if not sooner. The individual hired can report into our Los Angeles or Newport Beach office.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate across internal and external groups to oversee the response to investor requests and questionnaires.
- Responsible for many aspects of administration and client service for Business Clients and Retail Wealth Clients.
- Responsible for New Business (tracking statistics, open new accounts).
- Organize and Manage Portfolio Review, Prospect or Closing Meeting Process for Clients
- Account Maintenance (opening new accounts, follow-through, managing transactions, address changes, etc.).
- Prepare paperwork, letters, client reports and other client communications.
- Proactive and immediate resolution of client inquiries – direct client contact.
- Scheduling client meetings.
- Participation in weekly Staff and Operations Meetings.
- Responsible for designing workflow and tracking tasks in CRM.
- Expectation of initiative to look for ways to streamline processes for the branch to be more efficient.
- Responsible for documenting your tasks for the Operations Procedure Manual (screen shots with clear, concise instructions).
- Effective communication with both internal and external contacts including prospects and clients.
- Establish working relationships with colleagues and external clients.
- Handle a variety of tasks and provide seamless connection between clients and advisor processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the related field preferred.
- Preferred FINRA licenses Series 7 and 66.
- Experience processing alternative investments. Experience using CAIS, iCapital and Glass is desired.
- Experience working directly with private fund investors, with a focus on servicing investors to build and strengthen relationships.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Computer skills required: Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Order Processing Systems; Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); Presentation software (PowerPoint); and CRM software (Salesforce preferred).
