Air Export Coordinator

Air Export Coordinator | Atlanta, GA | Salary up to $65,000

This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end air export process, ensuring timely shipment movement, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service. The candidate will have prior freight forwarding experience, strong working knowledge of CargoWise and be DG certified.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage international air export shipments from booking through final departure
• Monitor shipment status and provide proactive updates to customers, overseas agents, airlines, and internal teams
• Prepare and review export documentation including air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, export declarations, and shipping instructions
• Ensure compliance with TSA requirements, export regulations, and applicable government agency requirements
• Communicate with airlines, truckers, warehouses, customers, and overseas offices to ensure smooth cargo movement
• Arrange cargo bookings and coordinate pickup, consolidation, and airport delivery
• Track shipment milestones and ensure on-time departures
• Accurately enter shipment data and maintain files within CargoWise
• Handle billing, vendor invoices, and customer invoicing
• Resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, and service issues in a timely manner
• Maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in air export operations within an international freight forwarding environment
• Required experience using CargoWise
• DG certified
• Strong understanding of international air freight documentation and export procedures
• Knowledge of U.S. export regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
