AI Security Architect

Our client is embarking on an enterprise-wide AI/ML journey and is seeking an AI Security Architect to design, implement, and govern security architectures that protect artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions across the organization. This role is critical to ensuring AI platforms are secure, resilient, compliant, and aligned with global regulatory, privacy, and ethical standards.

The AI Security Architect will collaborate closely with security, data, engineering, legal, and business stakeholders across multiple regions. This role reports to the Global Security Architect and requires strong executive presence and the ability to influence technical and business leaders.

The majority of AI workloads will operate in Microsoft Azure, with some solutions deployed in AWS. The Architect will be responsible for defining and implementing secure AI architectures, including identity and access management, encryption, and key management strategies for AI platforms.

• Design and architect secure AI/ML solutions across cloud and hybrid environments
• Define and enforce security standards for AI platforms, including IAM, encryption, and key management
• Lead AI security architecture and design efforts across Azure and AWS environments
• Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and security reviews for AI/ML systems
• Support cloud and platform security initiatives related to AI technologies
• Ensure alignment with regulatory, privacy, and ethical AI standards
• Provide security awareness and best practices by mentoring colleagues, delivering training, and contributing to enterprise security knowledge sharing
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate security throughout the AI lifecycle

• Strong background in Security Architecture
• Experience with AI Security principles and practices
• Industry security certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP)
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and executive stakeholders

• AI Security Tools: Cranium.AI, Splx.ai, Simplix
• Cloud AI Platforms: Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI
• Programming & Infrastructure: Python, Terraform, Bicep (Infrastructure as Code)

This is a Contract position based out of Winston Salem, NC.

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
