Position Responsibilities

:We are seeking an AI Enabled Automation Architect with a focus on Site Automation Engineering to join advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing initiatives. In this role, you will play a vital part in the development, implementation, and maturation of reusable phase libraries, equipment module abstractions, and digital knowledge structures, all aimed at delivering scalable and repeatable solutions throughout manufacturing automation processes

.Primary duties in this position will include

  • :Advance and mature reusable phase library and related equipment module abstractions to drive standardization across manufacturing operations
  • .Define and refine taxonomies, schemas, naming conventions, governance rules, and knowledge structures that enable efficient reuse and scalability
  • .Support the ingestion of master batch records in multiple formats, generating structured phase analysis outputs critical for process optimization and quality assurance
  • .Design and apply capability gate screening logic to evaluate batch records against established criteria for equipment and process capability
  • .Ensure reusable digital libraries align seamlessly with both physical equipment capability and manufacturing rig contexts
  • .Evaluate and maintain MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and control system-connected workflows, particularly focusing on platforms such as DeltaV and MES recipe design flows
  • .Utilize an iterative approach of build-test-refine cycles, employing real batch records and real manufacturing use cases for validation and improvement of automation solutions
  • .Offer planning and/or implementation support for recipe design generation, rig fit incorporation, and accurate mapping of equipment capabilities to manufacturing processes
  • .Collaborate closely and proactively with cross-site teams, including Site Automation Engineering, Process Engineering, Process Translation and Execution, IT, Quality, and site leadership, to deliver robust and compliant automation solutions within a GxP and GMP regulated environment

  • ).Demonstrated ability to bridge process knowledge and digital execution systems, with a pragmatic approach that minimizes reliance on custom application developmen
  • t.Background with technology transfer, manufacturing automation, recipe design, control strategies, or batch execution workflows in a life sciences or pharmaceutical contex
  • t.Hands-on experience with major manufacturing platforms such as MES and DeltaV, along with a robust understanding of digital manufacturing architecture
  • s.Advanced capability in data modeling, information architecture, and digital knowledge representation supporting scalable automation framework
  • s.Proven experience in designing and implementing modular, reusable technical frameworks and librarie
  • s.Comfort working iteratively, engaging directly with user feedback, real process data, and rapid learning cycles to continually refine technical solution
  • s.Strong cross-functional engagement skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders across automation, process engineering, operations, quality, and execution team
  • s.Relevant experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences manufacturing, with a preference for candidates who have worked within biologics, advanced therapies, or greenfield facility startup
  • s.Experience with small molecule manufacturing is advantageous; knowledge of multiple manufacturing modalities is a plu
