The Agribusiness Technology Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in both classroom and hands-on laboratory settings. This position requires the ability to teach students the maintenance, repair, and safe operation of farm facilities and equipment.Instruction includes, but is not limited to, farm shop operations and facility upkeep such as carpentry, basic electrical wiring, plumbing, welding, concrete work, painting, hand tools, and farm machinery. The instructor will foster a positive learning environment, guide students in practical applications, and ensure instruction aligns with industry standards and best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Teaches assigned courses.
Develops course syllabi, outlines, and classroom activities for assigned courses.
Administers tests or other evaluation methods to students; grades and gives feedback on exercises, homework assignments, and tests.
Monitors, records, and submits student attendance, progress, and grades for assigned courses.
Order supplies and equipment for assigned courses.
Utilizes the Student Success and Engagement software.
Assists students with registration processes.
Maintains contacts with business, industry, and professional organizations to keep instructional programs current with occupational or academic field.
Participates in the program review process.
Develops, implements, evaluates, and reports annual program goals/outcomes (PLOs).
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
Required

Associate’s degree in Agribusiness Technology or related field from a regionally accredited institution OR associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution AND a minimum of three years of relevant industry experience in agriculture, farm maintenance, equipment repair, construction, or related trades.
Demonstrated knowledge of
- Farm shop safety and proper tool operation.
- Agricultural equipment and facility maintenance.
- Basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and welding concepts.
Ability to teach in hands-on lab/shop environments.
Ability to teach day and/or evening courses.

Preferred

At least one year of relevant teaching or training experience.
