Job Description

The Managed Account Consultant supports the growth and scalability of the advisory business by enabling Financial Advisors to evolve their practices toward planning‑led, fee‑based relationships. Serving as an internal consultant and change agent, this role partners closely with advisors to drive adoption of managed account and advisory solutions through consultative guidance, education, and hands‑on execution support.

This position focuses on advisor enablement, behavioral change, and operational execution rather than traditional product sales. By reinforcing repeatable, client‑centric engagement models and efficient practice management workflows, the Managed Account Consultant helps reduce friction, improve consistency, and support long‑term advisor productivity and client success. The role works collaboratively across teams to ensure advisory solutions are implemented in a compliant, scalable, and sustainable manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Financial Advisors and advisor teams to enable adoption of managed account and advisory solutions through consultative guidance, education, and execution support.

  • Provide virtual advisory consulting to help advisors identify appropriate clients, frame planning‑led conversations, and execute compliant, operationally sound transitions to fee‑based relationships.

  • Reinforce and promote repeatable client engagement processes that enhance practice efficiency, consistency, and scalability.

  • Support advisors in improving practice management workflows, including client segmentation and effective use of firm platforms and tools related to the advisory business.

  • Develop and deliver virtual training sessions, workshops, and educational content to build advisor proficiency and support advisory capability adoption.

  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Operations, Supervision, Compliance, and Sales Leadership to resolve issues, reduce operational friction, and ensure timely execution of advisory opportunities.

  • Monitor and manage advisor requests and open items, proactively identifying risks or delays and providing structured insights to inform platform enhancements and process improvements.

  • Support initiatives and projects designed to enhance the advisory support model, improve the advisor experience, and drive long‑term business scalability.



Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered
-Eight or more years of experience in Experience in financial services, wealth management, advisory support, advisor enablement
-FINRA 7, 65 or 66 licenses

Preferred Qualifications:
-Working knowledge of advisory business models, planning-led advice, and managed account platforms, as well as the ability to apply that knowledge to advisor enablement and practice transformation efforts
-Familiarity with operating in a regulated environment and navigating compliance, supervision, and operational considerations
-Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage high‑volume work accurately
-Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $133,365.00 - $156,900.00
