About the Opportunity

A leading aerospace and high‑reliability electronics manufacturer in Sarasota, FL is seeking experienced Electronics Soldering Technicians with strong technical skills and the ability to perform precision work on mission‑critical electronic assemblies. This role supports the production of aviation, defense, and industrial

electronic systems that demand exceptional quality and adherence to strict industry standards.

Candidates must have soldering experience and hold a current IPC‑A‑610 certification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high‑precision soldering on through‑hole and surface‑mount electronic components.
  • Assemble, inspect, and rework complex PCB assemblies in accordance with IPC‑A‑610 Class 2 and Class 3 standards.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, assembly instructions, and workmanship specifications.
  • Conduct visual inspections of solder joints, components, and assemblies using microscopes and magnification tools.
  • Handle ESD‑sensitive components using proper ESD procedures and equipment.
  • Perform rework and repair on PCBs with proficiency in temperature‑controlled soldering tools and hot‑air rework stations.
  • Document work performed, follow quality procedures, and communicate defects or issues to engineering or QA.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation in accordance with aerospace manufacturing standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Professional soldering experience in electronics manufacturing, aerospace, avionics, defense, or other high‑reliability industries.
  • Active IPC‑A‑610 certification (Class 2 or Class 3 preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise with SMT and through‑hole soldering techniques.
  • Experience working under microscopes and using precision rework tools.
  • Strong understanding of PCB components, ESD protection, and assembly processes.
  • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions with high accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to workmanship quality.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with IPC‑7711/7721 rework & repair standards.
  • Familiarity with aerospace or defense electronics manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to identify component defects, solder anomalies, and workmanship issues independently.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineering, QA, and production teams.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sarasota, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
