This position will be onsite in Durango, CO. The client would ideally like someone local, but is willing to provide a travel stipend for candidates who are not local but can travel in.

Job Description:
Oversee the details of an outside plant aerial fiber construction project, inspecting a team of construction subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety standards, manage project timelines, order and manager material, maintain quality assurance, and prepare close-out documentation. The position reports to the Area Construction Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect the construction and installation of aerial fiber infrastructure, including strand placement, down guys/anchor installation, and self supporting (ADSS) fiber hardware.
- Manage a team of construction subcontractors, including the assignment of tasks, training, and adherence to project requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers & construction staff.
- Order and manage all associated hardware and Material.
- Maintain accurate logs, photographs, and reports of construction progress.
- Track project compliance with permits, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years experience in aerial outside plant fiber construction, including permitting, material procurement, OSHA safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong grasp of OSP Telecom Construction, permitting process, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Experience dealing with third party agencies such as DOT, County, Municipal, Forest Service, BLM, Railroad, Special Use, Environmental.
- Understanding Gigabit Passive Optical Networks (GPON/XGS-PON) products and technologies
- Understanding Rights of Way (ROW) and permitting deliverables
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills plus customer relations skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Education/Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
