Facility: Float Position - Various locations - Float differential to compensate for driving

Department/Specialty: Pharmacy Services/Oncology

Schedule: Day shift| 40hrs wk/8hr shifts/No weekends or holidays

How you'll make an impact in this role

Dispensing and Inventory Management:

Maintaining and refilling automated dispensing systems.

Preparing orders, managing inventory, and repackaging bulk medications.

Specialized Technical Functions:

Performing specialized tasks such as compounding hazardous drugs, taking medication histories, and assisting with nuclear medicine.

Managing the Patient Assistance Program (PAP).

Patient and Professional Liaison:

Serving as a crucial link between the pharmacy, patients, and other health professionals by ensuring essential information is communicated.

Medication Access Support:

Identifying and facilitating patient access to necessary medications, which includes benefit investigation, managing prior authorizations, and coordinating financial assistance.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Registration with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board required. Must provide proof of application to register with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board and once registration is granted, must be maintained.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional requirements you'll need

Hazardous compounding experience preferred
