Advanced Molecular Biologist Research Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated scientist with strong molecular biology and data analysis skills. The successful candidate will join a collaborative environment that supports custom gene expression work and enables innovative product discovery and development. This role offers opportunities to work in cutting-edge science within an industrial setting, with training opportunities and potential for extended responsibilities based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Extract high-quality RNA and deliver gene characterization (RACE) and associated data analysis.
• Track all work through LIMS systems.
• Maintain a collaborative attitude and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

• MS or higher education in molecular biology or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability in RNA extraction, RNA handling, cDNA synthesis, PCR, and next-gen sequencing library creation.
• Experience with plasmid and primer design and associated software tools.
• Familiarity with gene expression biology.
• Professional and positive attitude with clear communication and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office programs.

• Experience with NGS analysis and R coding language.
• Familiarity with liquid-handling or higher throughput extraction/data generation.
• Proficiency with note-taking and sample tracking through LIMS systems.

The role operates in a standard office and laboratory environment with work hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The position encourages collaboration within and among teams, offering a dynamic and innovative work setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Chesterfield, MO.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
