The Advanced IR Special Procedures Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures, including fluoroscopy and interventional radiology, assisting in diagnosing and treating patients. Responsibilities include operating specialized equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and providing critical support during complex medical procedures. The Advanced IR Special Procedures Technologist will also serve as a resource, superuser, and will assist in training. This role also requires a strong commitment to patient care and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours or completion of RCIS training certification
Experience: 2 years of relevant experience
Certification: ARRT ( R ) or RCIS; Basic Life Support (BLS)
Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
