Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our Adult Daycare RN, you will organize and implement nursing care for participants. You will function as a member of the nursing team and perform established nursing procedures and related duties as required.
Every day, you will assist with all RN related duties including but not limited to therapy supervision, documentation, and quality assurance. You will work directly with all staff, vendors, participants, visitors, interns, and volunteers to ensure patient safety and care needs are met, and you will report to the Nursing Supervisor.
To be successful in your role, you will strategically organize and implement comprehensive nursing care for adult daycare participants, ensuring established procedures are meticulously performed and patient needs are met. You will demonstrate exceptional leadership in supporting therapy supervision, maintaining thorough documentation, and upholding quality assurance standards, all while collaborating effectively with a diverse team to ensure patient safety and high-quality care delivery.
- Ensure timely medical care is delivered as prescribed via MD orders and established plan of care in accordance with Title 22 Adult Day Health Care regulations
- Observe and collect data regarding the physical and emotional conditions of participants.
- Provides concise and timely documentation which includes use of electronic medical records. Accurately documents all treatments and observations on a daily basis.
- Inform RN Supervisor of any changes in participant conditions in a timely manner.
- Develops, implements, modifies and documents individual care plans as dictated by regulations and patient change in condition.
- Ensures the clinic has accurate and current schedules for clinical treatment and personal care needs. Oversees dietary orders for accuracy and implementation.
Job RequirementsRequired
- California RN license
- Comprehensive nursing experience including clinical disease entities
- Basic Life Support - CPR
- High School Graduate or completion of a GED
- Physical assessment skills required for initial and follow-up appraisal on all assigned participants; treatments, specialized diets and preventative aspects concerning each participant; additional direct participant care services ensuring the safety, comfort and protection of participants.
- Must demonstrate ability to work in a fast paced environment, make quick medical decisions, respond to medical emergencies, and the ability to handle aggressive or agitated patients.
- After hire, must provide the usual procedures indicated for disease prevention and restorative measures, the ability to document professional nursing services provided with a realistic plan for reaching short term and long range goals, be able to make decisions regarding safety needs of participants including adequate equipment and be able to respond to emergency medical incidences.
- After hire, mustcomplete competency in: Medication safety, Point of Care testing (Glucometer), infection control, food safety, adult/elder abuse, fall prevention, disaster/emergency preparedness, HIPAA, facility safety.
