We’re looking for an independent, resourceful, and proactive Administrative Program Specialist A to serve as a vital support and problem-solver for the Division Director and the entire division staff, providing administrative support and executing multiple complex and tedious tasks while fostering a welcoming, positive, and collaborative team culture.

Three years of experience in administrative services; ORSix years of full-time work experience in any field; ORA bachelor's degree.EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. Job Duties:
As an Administrative Program Specialist A, you’ll report directly to the Education Consultant Supervisor, who supports the Division Director and serves as a Liaison to the entire division. In this position, you will provide essential administrative and programmatic division-wide support to ensure the smooth implementation of academic initiatives within the Division of Academic Content. In this role, you will:
- Manage the Division Director’s calendar and travel, relieving the Director of administrative duties
- Conduct initial reviews of contracts, contract amendments, and payment invoices, and ensure that all required documents are submitted and completed as required
- Prepare, submit, and track procurement requisitions for the purchase of services and deliverables per LDOE and Office of State Procurement processes
- Support the division with routine office tasks like payroll, inventory, mail distribution, meeting logistics, and general administrative support
Position-Specific Details:Appointment Type:Job Appointment.This position will be filled as a temporary job appointment that may last up to 4 years.The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office.
Work Schedule:Work hours are Monday - Friday. Work hours will be determined.
Compensation:The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
