The Owensboro Symphony is a fully professional orchestra dedicated to the highest standards of artistic excellence. Under the direction of music director Troy Quinn, the Symphony performs five subscription concerts, two summer concerts, two chamber concerts, and several regional run-out concerts annually. In addition, the Symphony reaches the young people of the community with quality education programs.


JOB SUMMARY:  Responsibilities include providing administrative support, managing day-to-day office operations, coordinating communication with patrons, and ensuring positive customer service experiences. The role also involves managing financial records, overseeing ticketing processes, assisting with event planning, and maintaining organizational systems. Patron Services will manage season subscriptions and renewal campaigns; all ticket sales (including box office management); and new subscriber activities, as well as other administrative duties.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Subscription Sales and Management

  • Oversee the acquisition of prospect lists for all direct mail as well as email database.
  • Plan and implement all aspects of season subscription and renewal campaigns
  • Monitor the progress of all campaigns and provide progress reports and analyses of results.
  • Manage in-house box office and monitor outside ticket venue operations, ensuring friendly, courteous service and customer satisfaction in ticket transactions.
  • Distribution of all campaign print materials as needed.
  • Oversee the planning and development of special public relations events and new subscriber activities.
  • Coordinate volunteers to participate in special events and campaigns.

 

Administrative

  • Manage all day-to-day office activity.
  • Maintain accuracy of Symphony website.
  • Work with the CEO in packaging and solicitation of sponsorships and in-kind support for various product lines and campaigns.
  • Maintain grant filings in conjunction with the CEO.

 

Patron Services

  • Maintain donor database and generate appropriate acknowledgements for gifts.
  • Communicate with ticket buyers, donors, and sponsors on an as needed basis.
  • Act as Symphony Concierge and assist with Patrons Society events.

 

Other

  • Attend all Symphony events and act as liaison to the patrons; and oversee distribution of tickets.
  • Participate in artist hospitality as requested.
  • Assist in the Symphony's community engagement efforts through the promotion of outreach events, disbursement of complimentary tickets, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.
