We’re looking for an Administrative Coordinator 3to serve as the first point of contact at the agency in our Child WelfareOfficeinVermilionParish, creating a welcoming environment for clients and visitors and providing administrative support that keeps our front office running smoothly.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.Job Duties:
  • Provides clerical support for the Foster Care and Family Services program for children in foster care and restrictive facilities.

  • Performs numerous computer functions such as inputting payment forms, typing social summaries, letters, open and close, make changes on case records, check and send emails daily, perform clearances for possible location of clients, run clearances on clients for various programs.

  • Process case records which involves labeling, guides sheets, TIPS forms, etc...

  • Compile and edit Foster Parent expense sheets and vendor reimbursements.

  • Maintain financial folders for foster children

  • Transport client to and from appointments

  • Process employee time records

Work Location:This vacancy is located in the Vermilion Parish Child Welfare Office in Abbeville, LA.
Work Schedule: Typical work hours are 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday
Appointment Type:This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.
