The Administrative Assistant I (AA) uses independent judgment in a variety of day-to day assignments and responsibilities as the assistant to the Director of Health & Human Services (DHHS). The AA schedules and arranges all meetings, appointments and travel arrangements, screens all incoming calls for the Director and replies to and resolves many calls, forwarding those that require the Director’s specific attention. The AA reviews all mail and composes responses for routine correspondence. The AA may create reports on behalf of the Director with information gathered from research and compilation of data. The AA is responsible for special projects assigned by the DHHS and will also provide general office support as needed to other Department staff.
