The Business, Facilities and Operations Division is now accepting applications forAdministrative Accounting Assistant.

The Administrative Accounting Assistant performs a variety of complex administrative assistant and fiscal support duties to support office operations and personnel within assigned department; relieves assigned supervisor of administrative and clerical detail; plans, coordinates and organizes day-to-day office operations and activities; coordinates flow of communications and information; assists department staff in coordinating fiscal activities; responsible for fiscal record keeping, basic accounting and/or auditing duties in the maintenance, processing, and review of fiscal records and services; coordinates special events and projects as required.

This position is full-time, in-person and has a work year of 12 months, 260 days per year, 8 hours per day.

  • Education and experience:Any combination equivalent to: Associate degree with coursework in accounting, business or a related field, and three (3) years of administrative assistant experience involving frequent public contact and duties related to fiscal activities such as accounting, auditing, budgeting and bookkeeping.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES

  • Assessments and interviews may take place virtually or in-person.
  • Following the final filing date, the qualifications of all candidates will be evaluated.
  • Themost qualified candidateswill be invited to participatein a written exam, tentatively scheduled forMay 29, 2026.
  • Those who pass the written exam will be invited to participate in an oral examination with subject matter experts, tentatively scheduled for June 9, 2026.
  • Based on the final scores of qualified candidates, Classified Personnel Services will establish a ranked candidate list.
  • Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a second interview with the hiring authorities, tentatively scheduled for the week of June 22, 2026.
  • Second interview may be held in-person.
  • Candidates will be invited over email to participate in examination and selection steps, using the email supplied within theirGovernmentjobs.comapplications, or as updated by candidates in theirGovernmentjobs.commaster profiles.Therefore, it is recommended that candidates check their email at least daily.
