Adjunct Professor, School of Education (pool posting)

The School of Education at St. Bonaventure University is continuously seeking qualified adjunct instructors. Adjunct professors are hired on an as-needed basis to teach courses across various disciplines within the School of Education. This is a pool posting, and applications will be reviewed as adjunct needs arise. Appointments and course assignments are contingent on enrollment, funding, and department needs. BSED positions will be on the St. Bonaventure campus while the graduate programs will be remote positions.

  • MSED and advanced certificates in Educational Leadership
  • MSED Adolescence Education
  • Clinical experience and student teacher supervision

Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in assigned discipline(s).
  • Conduct student observations as needed
  • Develop and deliver course content, including lectures, assignments, and assessments.
  • Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment.
  • Adhere to university policies and academic standards.
  • Participate in department meetings and training, as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in the relevant discipline or a closely related field.
  • Certification or licensure in the discipline or a closely related area
  • Experience teaching in the discipline
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong technology skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or terminal degree in the relevant field.
  • Demonstrated teaching experience at the college level is preferred.

Compensation: $3,000 - $5,000 per 3-credit hour course, depending on the program
