Adjunct Professor in Chemistry
Texas Lutheran University invites applications for an adjunct position in the Department of Chemistry starting in Fall 2025. This part-time faculty member will teach in-person classes for Chem 147 (Principles of Chemistry) and two sections of Chem 147 lab. (Total of 9 credit hours)
Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Chemistry or Master's in a related field with 18 credit hours of Chemistry
• Degree, coursework, or research lab experience in chemistry, biochemistry, or integrated science.
• Minimum of 1 year of research lab experience
• Teaching experience
• Ability to work collegially with other faculty members in the department
• Understanding and support of the mission of Texas Lutheran University
• General familiarity and comfort using computers. Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to learn new software, such as course management software like Brightspace/Desire2Learn and Microsoft Teams.

• Attention to detail.
• Professional etiquette and diplomacy.
• Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
• Ability to lift 20 pounds
