Adjunct Instructor Plastics Technician Certificate Programs Injection Molding | Extrusion | Blown Film | Polymer Processing North Central State College is seeking experienced plastics manufacturing professionals to teach within our Plastics Technician Certificate Programs. We welcome applicants with hands -on expertise in injection molding, extrusion, blown film, process control , tooling, maintenance, or production supervision. Whether you are a plant engineer, senior process technician, production supervisor, or seasoned operator, this is an opportunity to share your knowledge and help develop the next generation of skilled manufacturing talent. What You’ll Do: • Deliver engaging, industry -aligned instruction in plastics processing, materials, and manufacturing technologies • Teach core and advanced topics including polymer fundamentals, safety practices, injection molding, extrusion, blown -film processing, quality control, and troubleshooting • Provide hands -on lab instruction using industry - relevant equipment, emphasizing machine setup, process optimization, and real -world problem solving • Prepare students for immediate employment in modern manufacturing environments by connecting classroom concepts to practical application • Collaborate with Workforce Development and academic leadership to ensure curriculum remains current, responsive, and aligned with industry standards Key Responsibilities ( including but not limited to): • Prepare course materials, syllabi, and instructional resources in alignment with program outcomes • Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and grading documentation • Ensure safe operation of lab equipment and adherence to all safety protocols • Support student learning through mentorship, feedback, and real -world application • Participate in program meetings and continuous improvement initiatives as needed What We’re Looking For (Education/Experience ): • Significant industry experience in plastics manufacturing, including injection molding, extrusion, blown film, or related processing environments • Strong working knowledge of plastics materials, processing equipment, tooling, and quality systems • Experience with machine setup, changeovers, troubleshooting, and production optimization • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, practical, and engaging instruction • Associate degree or higher in a related technical field preferred; equivalent industry credentials and experience will be considered • Prior teaching or workforce training experience is a plus — but deep, hands -on industry expertise is essential Why You’ll Love Working Here: • Make a direct impact on the region’s manufacturing workforce • Share your expertise with motivated students preparing for high -demand careers • Modern lab environments and industry -relevant equipment • Be part of a College committed to workforce innovation and community growth Ready to Join Us?
