The Culinary Academy of Las Vegas (CALV) is the country’s leading nonprofit culinary and hospitality training institute. CALV’s vision is to reduce poverty and eliminate unemployment by providing employability and vocational skills to youth, adults, and displaced workers.
The On-Call Adjunct Instructor – Food & Beverage is responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging food & beverage instruction to students enrolled in CALV classes. This position involves teaching both practical and theoretical components of food and beverage, including continued education courses and or special projects. The ideal candidate will have strong food and beverage expertise, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to student success and workforce preparedness.
Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications:
A high school diploma and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a coffee shop and/or restaurant operation are required. Experience working with diverse learners is preferred. Candidates should also possess basic computer skills.
