Lewis and Clark Community College is currently seeking an Adjunct, Home Health Aide to work at local LC Campuses. LC’s Mission is to empower people by raising aspirations and fostering achievement through dynamic, compassionate and responsible learning experiences.


The instructor will deliver classroom and hands-on instruction that satisfies Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) standards, supervise students in simulated and clinical settings, and collaborate with the Workforce Training Coordinator to ensure course quality and community alignment.If you believe this description fits you, then please apply!
  • Create, administer, and grade assignments of LC students;
  • Calculate and submit grades for students;
  • Collaborate with Professors on coursework;
  • Stay current on material in the needed field of study;
  • Provide support and guidance for students as needed.
  • Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • At least 2 years nursing experience, including at least 1-year direct home-health or geriatric care.
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to complete a Train-the-Trainer course (college-funded).
  • BSN or higher (exempts Train-the-Trainer requirement).
  • Prior adult-education or training experience.
  • Experience serving rural or diverse populations.

For Academic Year 2025-2026, the pay rate for adjunct faculty is $838 per lecture-equivalent hour.
