Head Coach - Women's Basketball
Temporary Employment:$5,000.00 stipend for the season (Even installments paid from January to May or August to December depending on season dates).
$5,000.00 out of season for recruitment (Even installments paid from January to May or August to December depending on season dates).
*Stipend amount may be pro-rated based on start date*In addition to in-season and out-of-season stipends, the selected candidate will also be assigned a course with compensation paid at an adjunct rate from $73-$80 per contact hour.Summary:

Lemoore College is looking for an individual to be responsible for its new women's basketball program. The coach is expected to communicate with the student/athletes, recruit student/athletes for the program, supervise student study sessions, develop and manage the basketball budget, and follow the guidelines of the Athletic Department, the California Community College Athletic Association, and the Central Valley Conference. The coach must also be able to communicate with the coaching staff, faculty, and administration.
Representation Duties:
- Advise and instruct students on the theory and practice of the assigned sport
- Coach and direct the basketball team.
- Develop and manage the basketball budget.
- Provide direction for all facets of a successful basketball program.
- Select and supervise assistant coaches and provide general supervision of support staff.
- Assist in building strong relations between the community and the athletic department.
- Assist student athletes in completing required academics and transferring to four-year institutions.
- Remain current in theory, coaching, and the subject matter and techniques of effective instruction through participation in professional development.
- Ability to participate in fundraising activities.
- Recruit athletes for the program.
- Perform related duties as assigned.

- Implement contemporary teaching methods and technologies
- Demonstrate commitment to professional growth and development through memberships in regional, state, and national organizations, or other activities appropriate to the discipline or assignments
- Communicate clearly with students and staff, both orally and in writing
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and community organizations

Education and experience:
Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience, or any associate degree and six years of experience.
