The Department of Performing Arts at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor of Theatre and Musical Theatre for the fall semester beginning September 9, 2026. This position is to direct plays and/or musicals in our upcoming season.
Salary is $4,215.98 for a 3-credit course. Please note that a full course is considered to have 9 students enrolled in the course. If a section is not full, 8 or fewer enrollees, the salary is prorated based on the number of students enrolled in the course.- Terminal degree in directing, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- National/international profile as a director or performer.
- Experience working with early-career professionals in theatre and/or musical theatre
- Experience teaching in a university.
