Adjunct Faculty - Education Leadership

The Department of Graduate Education, Leadership and Counseling at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor of Education Leadership for the Summer II 2026 semester. This position is to teach EDLD 812 Leading Programs for Diverse Learners and At-Risk Students in the doctoral program.

Salary is $4,215.98 for a 3-credit course. Please note that a full course is considered to have 9 students enrolled in the course. If a section is not full, 8 or fewer enrollees, the salary is prorated based on the number of students enrolled in the course.
  • Earned doctorate in Educational Leadership or a related field aligned with the preparation of scholarly practitioners. (ABD candidates with anticipated completion may be considered.)
  • Significant leadership experience addressing issues of equity, access, and success for diverse and/or historically marginalized learners across educational systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to approach problems of practice through inquiry, data-informed decision-making, and systems thinking.
  • Experience facilitating doctoral-level learning grounded in reflection, collaboration, and applied problem-solving.
  • Commitment to preparing equity-minded, change-oriented leaders
  • Ability to teach on campus during the week of July 7th.
  • Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.

  • Experience mentoring practitioner-scholars engaged in problems of practice or Dissertation in Practice projects.
  • Evidence of integrating research, policy, and professional knowledge to advance systemic improvement.
  • Experience leading cross-sector partnerships or organizational change initiatives.
  • Familiarity with CPED principles or EdD program design grounded in scholarly practitioner preparation.
