Join our team as in-person Adjunct Faculty member in Political Science!


Are you passionate about sharing your expertise in American government with eager college students? We are looking for a qualified instructor to become part of our Professional Studies and University Transfer faculty at Blue Ridge CTC. As an in-person Lecturer for American Federal Government, you will have the chance to teach to dual enrollment college students and make an impact on young students’ educational journey.


This position is located at our Morgan County Center location in Berkeley Springs, WV. We are specifically looking for someone to teach PSCI 101 American Federal Government on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:15 pm – 2:30 pm starting in August 2026.

  • Live instruction of PSCI 101- American Federal Government
  • Syllabus development and customization
  • Online attendance tracking and grade submission

Education

  • Master’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Public Policy, Government, Education with a Social Studies Certificate, or a closely related field, OR
  • Master’s degree in any field with at least 18 credits of graduate level government courses.

Experience

  • 1 year of teaching experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and to relate to others in a professional, helpful manner.

  • Excellent teamwork skills: skilled at collaborating with all areas of the College in a positive manner that supports diversity and a respectful workplace.
  • Proficiency in research, interpreting and analyzing diverse data;knowledge of how to enter, monitor, and interpret student data accurately.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of rapid growth and change. Ability to work independently with minimal clerical support.
  • Knowledgeable in use of Word and Excel (intermediate level).
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to following all College policies and procedures.
Adjunct pay dependent on degree level.
