Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Inpatient Care

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $135,000 – $140,000 (flexible for the right candidate)
Overview
We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for an inpatient role supporting a collaborative hospital-based team. This provider will deliver comprehensive patient care under the supervision of a physician, focusing on high-quality outcomes, patient education, and coordinated treatment planning.
This is a strong opportunity for providers seeking a structured weekday schedule with no nights or weekends, while working in a team-oriented clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments, examinations, and daily rounding
- Document clinical findings and rounding information accurately
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Review lab, radiology, and other diagnostic results and assist with care decisions
- Conduct histories and physicals and dictate progress notes
- Assist physicians with orders, tasks, and care coordination
- Admit and discharge patients with proper documentation
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and care options
- Respond to patient calls and follow-ups as needed
- Send prescriptions electronically to pharmacies
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Graduate of an accredited APP program
- Active Texas state license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Reliable transportation
Preferred Experience
- Acute Care certification (strongly preferred for NPs)
- Inpatient hospital experience
- Outpatient clinical experience
- Nephrology or renal experience
Practice Details
- Inpatient hospital setting
- Average patient volume: 10+ patients per day
- May assist with outpatient transplant clinic coverage as needed
- Collaborative team environment with supervising physicians
- Strong emphasis on communication and teamwork
