Accounts Receivable Specialist

A growing manufacturing company in Rock Hill is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting team. This role will be the primary owner of the AR function, working closely with the Controller and supporting critical billing and cash application processes. The environment is hands-on and detail-oriented, with a legacy ERP system and many manual processes, so strong Excel skills and prior experience in a manufacturing setting are highly valuable.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full invoicing process and support revenue recognition activities
• Process incoming payments including checks, wires, and ACH, and apply cash in the AR system
• Scan and record checks and maintain accurate documentation
• Perform account reconciliations and support month-end close activities
• Review and approve freight invoices and shipping terms
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer disputes
• Maintain accurate AR records within ERP, a highly manual system with significant paper documentation

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Receivable or Billing, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong Excel skills required
• Experience with cash application, invoicing, and reconciliations
• Comfortable working in a manual ERP environment and managing paper-heavy processes
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
