Accounts Payable Supervisor

A growing organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Lead to oversee daily AP operations while providing leadership, coaching, and support to a team of AP professionals. This role combines hands-on accounts payable responsibilities with team oversight, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of AP staff, providing guidance, training, and performance support
• Oversee full-cycle accounts payable processing, vendor management, payment execution, and reconciliations
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex AP issues and ensure timely resolution
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and 1099 compliance
• Drive process improvements, maintain internal controls, and optimize system utilization
• Partner with Finance and other departments to ensure accurate, efficient, and audit-ready AP operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounts payable or accounting experience
• 2+ years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience within AP
• Sage Intacct experience
• Experience with high-volume AP environments, month-end close, and 1099 reporting
