Role Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist role is a full-time hybrid position based in Phoenix, AZ. You will specialize in:

  • Processing vendor invoices, claim‑related payments, and operational expenses with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintaining vendor records, supporting onboarding, completing risk assessments, and ensuring OFAC compliance.
  • Supporting 1099 reporting, escheatment research, and use/sales tax reporting.
  • Processing commission payments and policyholder deductible transactions.
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve questions efficiently and professionally
  • Supporting audits, month‑end activities, and departmental initiatives focused on strengthening controls and improving efficiency.


Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of accounts payable or accounting experience (insurance or highly regulated industry experience is a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and ownership of work
  • Comfort working with accounting systems, electronic payment platforms, and Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data validation)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • A collaborative mindset and a commitment to integrity, accuracy, and service

Salary Range: $53,000 - $75,000
