Accounts Payable Specialist

Position Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Fairfield, NJ

Pay: $24/hr+

Industry: Wellness & Fitness Services

A large stable organization in the Health & Fitness industry is currently hiring for an Accounts Payable professional to oversee their current payables process and manage their large vendor accounts. The AP Lead will be responsible for monitoring general accounting practices, developing internal accounting controls, reporting regularly to HQ, and fulfilling local tax requirements. Qualified candidates must have extensive professional experience working within the accounts payable field and be able to use MS Excel comfortably.

Candidates must be commutable to their office in Fairfield, NJ.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This person will be responsible for managing accounts payable and related tasks, and will interface with various departments, Headquarters and vendors.
• Review invoices for propriety, add GL codes and enter in the system
• Prepare invoices for payment of vendors, run checks and process for mailing
• Process expenses reports and prepare for payment
• Reconcile company credit cards
• Prepare miscellaneous checks on demand
• Manage quarterly GSA reporting and payments (works in conjunction with our GSA sales rep)
• Maintain document storage
• Assist VP of Financial and Accounting Manager with special analysis and projects
• Other duties as assigned
