Accounting Operations Specialist (Onsite) 
Hospitality / Service-Based Organization

A private hospitality organization located in the greater Boston area is seeking an Accounting Operations Specialist to support daily financial operations. This role focuses on high-volume transactional work across AP, AR, billing, POS activity, and event-related accounting.

Compensation: $95,000-110,000 annually

Key Responsibilities

  • Process AP invoices, expense reports, and weekly check runs
  • Manage billing, client accounts, and payment processing (cash, check, ACH, wire)
  • Track and record sales, POS activity, and event-related transactions
  • Maintain and audit POS systems and item codes
  • Post GL entries, transfers, and adjustments
  • Support the month-end/year-end close and reporting
  • Respond to billing inquiries and assist with ad hoc projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience in a service or multi-revenue environment
  • Experience with systems like Jonas or Club Essentials
  • Must be willing to be on-site 5 days/week  
  • Strong understanding of day-to-day accounting operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting systems
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
