Accounting Manager

Overview

A rapidly growing real estate company is relocating its headquarters to Columbus and is seeking an Accounting Manager to help build and lead the accounting function. This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to executive leadership and strong opportunity for advancement as the company scales.

We are also open to high-performing Senior or Lead Accountants ready to step into a management role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Manage and mentor a team of staff accountants
• Partner closely with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Collaborate with the executive leadership team on financial reporting and business insights
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Drive process improvements and help build scalable accounting infrastructure
• Assist with audit coordination and external reporting requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (real estate experience a plus)
• Prior management experience or demonstrated leadership as a Senior/Lead Accountant
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience leading or heavily involved in the close process
• Ability to partner cross-functionally and communicate with leadership
